Reach Caswell Record Offices

Caswell County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, verify a release, post bond, change a court date, or retrieve an official booking record. Questions about a person or a record must go to the office that created or controls it.

Choose the Right Caswell Office

The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office is the first stop for a county arrest report, booking sheet, or possible booking photograph. Its public pages do not show a verified online roster, booking-photo search, fixed photo fee, or guaranteed response time. Ask the Records Division for the current request process, the lawful availability of the record, any reproduction charge, and the expected response.

Court contact directory

For a current custody question, call the Detention Center. For an arrest report or photo request, use the sheriff’s Records Division path, which names Records Clerk Karen Lynch. Detention staff state that they do not set bond amounts, change court dates, render verdicts, or determine punishment. Those matters belong with the magistrate or court, not the jail.

Where to Look for Each Record

Start with the official source that matches the person’s custody or case status. A person just booked may be known to detention staff, while someone released may no longer appear in current custody information. A state-prison profile, court docket, federal locator result, and county booking record are separate records.

  • For a Caswell County booking report or possible photo, ask the Sheriff’s Records Division and identify the person, approximate date, booking or case number if known, and arresting agency if known.
  • For a public docket, hearing, charge change, or disposition, use the North Carolina Judicial Branch Portal, then contact the Caswell Clerk for the official record. The Portal display is not the official court file.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, probationer, or parolee, use the NCDAC offender search. NCDAC says its search excludes county-jail information.
  • For federal custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator. It is not a Caswell jail roster and does not provide a public photo gallery.
  • For immigration custody, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator or an attorney. A county booking entry does not establish an ICE detention record.
  • For anonymous information about a wanted person or case, use Caswell Crime Stoppers at 336-694-5199. Tips are described as anonymous or confidential, with rewards up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. Do not approach anyone.

North Carolina public-records requests are guided by G.S. 132-1, G.S. 132-6, and G.S. 132-6.2. Caswell has not posted a dedicated booking-photo form, a local fixed photo fee, or a guaranteed turnaround. The custodian can explain what exists, what can be released, and whether a charge applies. NCDAC’s general contact is 919-733-2126 for state-corrections questions, while the town offices in Yanceyville and Milton handle municipal administration rather than county booking records.
